19th C. French OPALINE Art Glass Casket / Trinket Box, Brass Banded

  

This listing is for a gorgeous mid-late 19th Century French OPALINE Art Glass casket or trinket box. This large box is made of thick blue Opaline glass with rounded edges and is banded with a brass band.

The h inge is tight and the box opens and closes correctly with a curved "S" closure in front. Measures 4 5/8" high, 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/2 deep. This lovely box is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear. The brass bands have naturally aged patina as expected.
