1900 3/3 Gas & Electric Brass Chandelier. Orig Opalescent Art Glass Shades. This is an amazing find for anyone who is restoring an old home and wants some authentic touches that will really stand out. An original early 1900s all brass Gas & Electric Combination chandelier with the ORIGINAL hand-blown OPALESCENT Art Glass Shades. In almost 40 years of collecting antique lighting this is the most remarkable set of 3/3 antique shades I have ever seen.

The shades are in beautiful condition with only one small fitter nick on ONE of the electric shades invisible when mounted. The fixture has been gently cleaned and waxed to preserve the natural patina that has occurred over time. There is no way to duplicate this. All pieces are brass and in great condition.

I can only find a couple of little dimples on the canopy that you absolutely have to search for to find. The gas and electric arms all line up and hang level with their companions. The gas arms have been wired and fitted with high quality brass-shelled, candelabra sockets.

The electric arms still retain the original paddle turn-key sockets which are in great working order AND the original 2 ¼ electric shade holders. The fixture is shown on a dimmer switch (which I highly recommend) and looks fantastic with the Edison light bulbs that are now available in both standard and candelabra base sizes.
