This lovely French Opalescent Fenton Dot Optic. #G-70 Pancake / Boudoir Lamp is not easily found. Other companies made similar lamps.

The Fenton pancake lamp can be identified by the panels on the base (please see our pictures). This striking lanp is in. Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. There is no residue or sickness to the glass. The lamp is in good working condition. The metal has some normal age related spotting. This lamp uses a low wattage bulb. (no more than 40 watts and we recommend less). Is shown in the book " Fenton Art Glass" by Kenn and Margaret Whitmyer. We have provided you with a picture of an ad from the 1930s. This ad is not for sale with the lamp. It is for identification purposes only. Or Coin Spot made its first appearance in the Fenton line in the 1908. Early pieces included a pitcher and tumbler combining to form a water set, in French Opalescent, Blue Opalescent, and Green Opalescent. In the early 1930s several different styles of lamps were produced in the Dot Optic pattern. In the late 1930s to mid-1940s numerous other pieces were made in this pattern in French Opalescent, Green Opalescent, Blue Opalescent, Cranberry Opalescent, and Topaz Opalescent. In addition to producing Dot Optic pieces for the regular line, Fenton also made numerous pieces for private companies in colors and molds similar to those used by Fenton. Dot, a pattern made for L. Wright, is one of the more frequently found patterns. Merchandise is guaranteed as stated in the description. All items are carefully examined before listing & again before they are packed.
