R Lalique Blue Opalescent'Poissons' Charger 31.5 cms/12+ ins in Original Box

  
Check out my other items. This is Rene Lalique's Poissons charger (serving plate) featuring a swirl of fish all around a bubbly water-effect centre. It makes an impressive centrepiece enhanced by. The first version of the design appeared in 1921 in the form of a smaller, deeper bowl. Larger sizes, like this one, were introduced in 1931 and retired in 1947. As the design is exceptional even by Rene Lalique standards, it's remained ever popular. This charger is a statement piece and talking point. Please look at the images, they're a significant part of the description. I've taken pictures, right way up and upside down, with natural and artificial light using different backgrounds to show the varying colour and opalescence according to light and angle. The base is'stencilled' R. 31.5 cms (12.3 ins). Condition: excellent with only a few light contact marks. The original box shows age and wear. I ask for, and in turn, appreciate your understanding.
