Up on offer here is this reclaimed superb 1940s large Authentic rare Austrian art deco Opaline milk glass school house light lantern, with all original bronze fittings. Rare piece of genuine deco period lighting. "Please scroll down for details".

Weighing 1.75 KG, this stunning six panelled light centre piece is very substantially built throughout. Individually relief decorated panels with very pronounced geometric ornate Roman garland borders.

Heavy cast bronze open gallery, with decorative central rose and heavy original knurled security thumb bolts. Original heavy close link bronze period chain.

Original heavy bronze ceiling plate with open hook and original Bakelite grommet. Re-wired in silk braided twist cable, tested, and in perfect working order. Ready to install, no other parts required other than a space on the ceiling and a couple of suitable brass round head screws (provided). For dimensions, please see images. In beautiful period condition with charming aging patina commensurate with its 70+ years of service, " No known faults", please see images.
