Vintage 1930s French art deco brass swan neck student lamp Opaline glass shade

Up on offer here is this Stunning Early 1930s French Goose neck solid brass student desk Lamp, with adjustable height & gallery swivel, and a rare Art Deco Opaline milk glass heavy hand-moulded shade. " Outstanding original piece of period French lighting ". All original and full of character!

Standing on Stepped circular base with a heavy metal stabilizer plate and fine wool mix green baize base covering. Adjustable Shallow bowl brass gallery with a 60° goose neck lateral swing on a swivel knuckle joint, and housing the original brass B22 bayonet fit bulb holder.

Original French hand-moulded Opaline milk glass shade with deep relief garland decorations sits snugly into the gallery, and fasten with bulb holders locking ring. The decorative goose neck slides up and down along central brass column, and height locks with a large solid brass locking head.

Decorative top grab ring with a human hand depiction. Original 1930s Bakelite inline switch. Original 1930s art deco three-round pin Bakelite plug with early cord grip. Recently professionally re-wired in period-match two-core black silk braided twist cable, tested, and in perfect working order.
