A late 19th century European cased glass vase with tripod feet. It has a white glass interior and red/pink exterior with clear feet which have been gilded. The main feature is the cameo style classical portrait of a high status female with a half antique crown.
The portrait is white enamel built up in layers in the pate-sur-pate style. The white enamel jewelling to the body is also in relief. There are no makers marks which is usual for the the late 19th century.
The portrait bears resemblance to some work by Sevres and is certainly of a good standard, however it is probably more likely that the item is from the then Bohemian region (modern day Austria & Czech Republic). A fine looking example with nice detail in the portrait. Good for period, some gilt rubbing to the rim, main body and to the feet as can be ascertained in the images.
