The vase is in the style of Moser or Neuwelt but is not signed. The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 160 years of use. The vase was blown in clear glass cased in opaline white.
It has a tulip-shaped bowl is finished with Gothic-style arches at the rim. The bowl is divided into six arched panels, three of which have been cut through the opaline glass to produce hatching, and three of which have been polychrome enamelled with flowers. The bowl sits on a triple annular knop and a flared foot which is cut and enamelled in sympathy with the bowl. All panels on the bowl and on the foot are picked out in gilt. The vase is 14 in height.
There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
