Pair of antique French blue opaline candle holders. France, circa 1920 (probably by Baccarat). Very pretty PAIR of opaline lusters, in the manner of Baccarat, each with 8 cut crystal prisms.

Scalloped edge with white (milk) opaline color (This technique of adding another layer of opaline with another color to the main body, needs a lot of skill from the glassmaker). Hand decorated with repeated gold gilding motifs and lines. Pontil mark at the base (as shown in the photos), which reflects the age (early works). Tiny flea bite to several prisms. Only one prism from the 16 is NOT the original one (as shown in the last photo).

Opening diameter : 4 inches (10 cm). Diameter at the base : 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). No chips, cracks or any damage to the main body (opaline).
