Baccarat Opalescent Glass Vase with Plum Blossom Fan Design Marked c. 1878

  
The vase has some scuffs and scratches due to age, but is in very good condition. Designed with reliefs of plum blossoms and a folding fan. It is a beautiful work of Japonisme (Japanese taste) that embodies the unique art of Japan, which was an unknown country at the time.

The bottom is marked "BACCARAT" as seen on Baccarat pieces of the period. Please take a look at the photos.
