RARE Mirror Pair ANTIQUE 15 OPAQUE OPALINE FRENCH BACCARAT GLASS ENAMELLED VASES HAND PAINTED FLORAL BUTTERFLY C1880 - mid summer vista.. This listing is for a VERY LARGE MIRROR PAIR OF BEAUTIFUL VASES. Made in the Art Nouveau period and measuring at 15 they are hardly insignificant!! Opaline glass, enamelled, HIGH QUALITY vases from France, BACCARAT Glassworks circa 1880. Which is not surprising but usual for this time period.

The vases are hand enamel painted with a lovely light hearted floral, woodland and butterfly theme, making them a stunning addition to any collection or home decor. The hand painting is exquisite. Perfect for the nostalgia of summer gardens with pastel shades of green pink and blue with what looks to be Peacock butterflies. With the pale opaque opaline background..

A very idyllic scene conjuring up all the memories of mid summer. With the same flowers displayed above it would make a veritable feast for the eyes. Even on their own they provide two object d'art statement pieces. Crafted from glass material, these vases are a perfect choice for those who appreciate the beauty of antique decorative objects.

The vases are in lovely condition, apart from the gilding which is sadly no longer in its rich original glory.. They have been well loved over the intervening years, by being well kept free from chips or cracks since their having been made.

125 or so years ago... They are a unique and precious find for collectors of vintage and antique glassware. MEASUREMENTS: Height 15" x 7" at widest point. CONDITION: Excellent with no chips or cracks.
