French Opaline Opaque Glass Pink Mauve 10.5 Scallop Shell Center Bowl STUNNING

  
This mesmerizing 2-tone bowl is best described as cased in a pale blush pink over mauve, and mold blown in slightly translucent. There are zero seams and it has a very nicely polished base with gentle subtle signs of where the glass was blown and stretched which means nothing distracting or damaging, just evidenced that it is beautiful artistic glass. It is quite large and very heavy. It sits low and makes a stunning presentation bowl. There are no makers marks, which is typical of older French opaline glass.

I photographed the casing detail in pictures 7-9, so you can see how well the glass blends. It looks like soft butter, with no harsh lines or seams. There is one small micro nick on the top of the handle; it is more evident under studio lighting, and is not noticeable in natural light. This is just a large, gorgeous, delightful and unusual piece of opaque glass!
