Italian Vintage EMPOLI Vintage Pink Glass White Stem Oversized Brandy Wine Glass

  

This is a very large mid-century balloon glass in a delightful & sexy pink opaline glass. The white twisted stem has a slight pearly iridescence and is kind of translucent on the base. I bought it here in France but it will have been made in Empoli in Italy. There are no markings but this is a classic Empoli colour combination and this twisted white stem is used frequently in their designs.

But please look at all photos and assure yourself it is as you expect it to be. It is a delightful mid-century decorators piece which will look fabulous on a Scandinavian style teak credenza or mid century modern shelving unit and sparkles with the sunlight refracting through it.

It will add a variation of height and colour to a collection of genie bottles and it would look fantastic amidst a collection of coloured art glass especially if you collect pinks. It would make a lovely gift for any art glass lover, especially if they collect Empoli and need some pink in their collection. Some collectors have whole shelves of this pink Empoli, it looks stunning all together as a set.
