Italian Vintage MCM Red & Black Cased Opaline Art Glass Vase V B Florence Empoli
This is a wonderful and quite large original mid 20th century decorative vase in a wonderful bright red, with black wavy lines with a white cased glass interior. It isn't labelled but this colourway is typical of V. Opaline glass factory in Florence, Italy. The initials VB are thought to stand for Vetreria Barbieri, a factory in or close to the town of Empoli, Italy, that produced glassware during the 1970's and early 1980's.
Its a stunning colour and in excellent condition, an ideal gift for any art glass collector particularly if they need some red in their collection.
