Lalique Saint Francois Molded Blue Opalescent Enameled Frosted Bird Vase. Outstanding piece of, Lalique glass named, Saint Francois. Vase has blue enameled paint highlighting the opalescent birds and vines with a frosted blue background. Birds and vines are in moulded relief, blown out if you will, just an amazing three dimensional effect.
Vase is pictured in many books, even a Tiffany book called, " The Art of Louis Comfort Tiffany" page 124. Please, have a look at our other fine decorative arts. Makers/Artists Marks: Stenciled Makers mark, R. Lalique France on bottom of vase. Dimensions: 7 inches high, 6 1/2 inches diameter at top down to bottom which is approximately 3 inches diameter. Condition: No chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some trapped air bubbles and a few light scratches on bottom only mentioned for accuracy, nothing that takes away from the beauty of this piece.Any white spots seen in pictures are a reflection of the lights in room and absolutely are not on any of the items pictured. Rene Lalique who lived from 1860 to 1945 was founder of this firm and specialized in molded work. His work is represented in many museums throughout the world. All packages are professionally packed.
