MURANO GLASS BIRDS ON A BRANCH OPALINE EX CONDITION seguso mid century

  
An amazing, alluring blown glass sculpture, no doubt from Murano, Italy and reminiscent of the alabastro work of Archimede Seguso. Two stylized songbirds, in opaline or alabastro glass of turquoise, Blue, mulberry, and white colors, are perched on seperate branches. The glass of the branch is Deep blue softening to clear. The birds are opalescent and are fused to the glass- not moveable.

The piece is unmarked; typically these glass sculptures came with a foil label, since lost. It measures 20cm long x 17cm wide x 15cm high and weighs 1.330 kg This piece is in excellent condition. The only reason for sale is that i nees to scale back.... I started with vases and perfume bottles...
