Excellent; very slight wear to the base; lip and rim perfect.Both names are given in Marcilhac;'fougères' being the French for ferns, and'espalion' being a town on the River Lot - the name being of uncertain provenance, attributed only to Charlemagne who - disappointed at not having arrived at his intended destination - is said to have remarked n.
